Abuja - Former Niger State Governor, Dr. Muazu Babangida Aliyu has allegedly lost another one of his elder brothers, with the death of Mallam Umar Abubakar Maikano on Sunday evening.
According to Naij, the development marks the second death in Aliyu's family, following the passing of his veteran broadcaster sibling, Alhaji Usman Aliyu Zinda.

A statement released by the family has revealed that Mallam Umar died at age 78 as the result of complications stemming from a stroke, with relatives describing the death as a "great loss to the family".
Mallam Umar had previously held the position of Fakacin Minna within the Minna Emirate Council, offering his vast experience and expertise through several years of practice as a retired judge, Leadership reports.
