Abuja - The Nigerian National Petroleum
Corporation (NNPC) has alerted members of the public to fraudsters swindling
unsuspecting members with the promise of non-existent jobs at the corporation.
The scammers are sending letters to the public under the
auspices of “the second process of recruitment.”
The bogus exercise is set for Monday next week.

The scam invitation letters direct recipients to pay the
sum of N21 500 into a certain account number with Zenith Bank purportedly for
“onshore and offshore/training kits/materials.”
NNPC said such offers must be ignored as they had not
been sent by the corporation.
“Anyone who entertains such invitations or deals
with peddlers of such invitations does so at his or her own risk.”
