Abuja - Five people have been killed in a Benue community after being ambushed by Fulani herdsmen, reports have indicated.
According to a Punch report, approximately 30 armed assailants attacked Okokolo village on Thursday, setting several properties ablaze in the process.

Dibal Yakadi, Benue State Commissioner of Police, has confirmed the attack but denied any knowledge of those deceased.
Yakadi has also confirmed the motive of the attack as being related to cattle rustling in the area.
