Abuja - The South-East South-South Professionals of Nigeria
have stated that President Muhammadu Buhari declare a three-year emergency on
the country's economy, Punch reported.
President of the group, Emeka Oju, made this statement after
a delegation meeting with Vice President, Yemo Osinbanjo at the Presidential
Villa in Abuja.

Oju expressed that Buhari should immediately make the
announcement after consulting with National Assembly.
He further stated that "this is not about the APC or
PDP, our economy is bad and people should start realising it."
According to Oju, belt-tightening measure should not only be
felt by the public sector but the private sector too.
