The kidnappers have since made a ransom demand of N15 million for the release of the journalist.
Reacting to abduction, Governor Rochas Okorocha condemned the abduction, describing it as an act of mistaken identity
Okorocha, who spoke through his Chief Press Secretary (CPS) Sam Onwuemeodo, said the young man is only a reporter who cannot be said to have been kidnapped because of money.
He noted that only those behind the act know why they decided to inconvenience the reporter and his family.
He urged those holding the reporter to release him to reunite with his family, adding that a reporter cannot afford to pay any ransom.
