Abuja - President Muhammadu Buhari has stated that herdsmen responsible for attacks on Nigerians nationals are actually foreigners allegedly hailing from Libya.
According to a Daily Post report, Buhari made his utterances while speaking yesterday in London.
Buhari has noted that militia trained under former Libyan President Muammar Gadaffi's 43-year regime had been dispersed all over Africa, with some working for Boko Haram while others moved on to Al Qaeda and so on.

"When his regime was overthrown, those people were dispatched to their countries. They found themselves in the Boko Haram and others," Buhari said.
Buhari has since promised to consult both the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development on the issue of herdsmen attacks, saying all measures will be taken to ensure the safety of innocent citizens.
