Abuja - The Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation has cried
out on the increasing wave of non-performing insider loans in banks, Vanguard
Managing Director, Alhaji Ibrahim states that there are
consequences for the stability of the nation's banking system due to directors
in banks failing to repay loans taken.
According to Ibrahim, such could erode public confidence in
the banking system.

Casual workers in banks constitute 25 percent in the banking
industry and this has a negative impact.
Strict compliance has been called on the existing code of
conduct and such laws will be looked into.
