Abuja - The Chairman of the House Committee on
Interior, Jagaba Adams Jagaba, has expressed President Muhammadu Buhari’s
confidence in the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s (EFCC’s) ability
to rid the country of corruption.
Jagaba commended the commission’s acting Chairman, Ibrahim
Magu, during the former’s courtesy visit to the EFCC base in Abuja.
“You Magu and EFCC) are able, capable and willing to join
hands with him (Buhari) in the audacious task of ridding Nigeria of the
monstrous scourge of corruption,” Jagaba said.
Jagaba encouraged Magu and EFCC to be unyielding in the
fight against corruption in the face of criticism the agency was targeting

“In the course of prosecuting this war, you will be hated by
many and called unprintable names. However, you should not be dismayed because
where there is a will there is a way,” said Jagaba.
“I want to urge you to continue to strive harder in order to
attain higher grounds such that every segment of this nation will be keyed into
the mantra of the government of President Buhari’s war against corruption.”
Magu expressed gratitude for the support the committee
“We need more support and are willing to key into this and
participate in this fight,” said Magu.
