Abuja - Many have been left reeling following the tragic death of Labour Minister James Ocholi in a fatal crash along the Abuja-Kaduna highway yesterday.
According to a Vanguard report, the minister and his family passed just 57 kilometers from Kaduna after a burst tyre caused the SUV they were travelling in to skid off the road and somersault several times into the bush.
Ocholi (55) and his son, Aaron Enojo (18) are said to have passed instantly, while Ocholi's wife, Blessing Fatima, slipped into a coma and later succumbed to her injuries at a nearby hospital.
Francis Udoma, Kaduna State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), confirmed that Ocholi's driver, chief detail, orderly, and his personal assistant were all injured in the crash and are currently receiving treatment for their injuries.
