Sikiru Alabi, had his marriage to his wife, Basira, dissolved by an Ibadan Customary Court on the grounds of prostitution and adultery. Sikiru was granted custody of their 5-year-old daughter with Basira given access to the child.

Sikiru also told the court that he had previously caught his wife having sex with another man in their marital bed, but had forgiven his wife after she had promised him that she would change her ways and be faithful to him from then onwards.

The final straw came for Sikiru when he found the condoms in her bag and exclaimed that his wife was raining curses down on his family with her adultery.
