I was drugged before being taken to Kano, Ese Oruru reveals

08 March 2016, 08:44

Abuja - Fresh information surrounding the case of abducted Ese Oruru has revealed that the 14-year-old may have been drugged during her 7 month ordeal.

According to a Punch report, Ese said that her abductor, Yunusa, "offended her" and that she had no recollection of how she was transported to Kano from her home in Bayelsa.

In addition, Ese claimed that she was given a strange concoction to drink in Kano, following which she was put through religious recitation regularly for her stay with her abductor.

Despite reports that alluded to the teenager having been enrolled in Islamic school, Ese refuted the allegations, saying that she never attended school while in Kano.

She said she could not remember fully how Yunusa raped her due to having to cope with the traumatic experience that she has had to endure.

Ese has since disclosed that she only regained full consciousness around the time she was due to leave Kano.
