'I was drunk when I raped my daughter'

30 September 2016, 08:31

Abuja - A Lagos trader who was accused of raping his own daughter has admitted to the crime while claiming that he was drunk when the incident took place.

According to Punch, Uchena Elumadu, has revealed that he took the chance to rape his first born child every time his wife was away from the family residence.

In addition, Elumadu has also claimed to have administered contraceptive drugs to the girl every time he planned to defile her.

The suspect, who was arrested on Thursday, has since insisted that he only raped his daughter on two occasions.

“That day, I had gone for a naming ceremony and I was drunk. My friend had abused me that I always took non-alcoholic drinks and I should try a little alcohol. It was the little I took that made me misbehave.  The second time, I was in the house with my wife when I sneaked into the room and raped her.

“I was not the one that deflowered her. When I slept with her the first time and I asked why she was not a virgin, she could not answer me. I have committed a great sin and I have asked God to forgive my wrong.”

Elumadu is due to be charged to court soon.
