Abia - Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has reassured
people in the state that he is still governor despite the judgement of the
Federal High Court in Abuja, Vanguard reported.
The judgement was handed over to Ikpeazu due to alleged
falsification of tax receipts.
Ikpeazu has stated that he remains governor of the state
according to law and only through court will the case be judged.

He further added that he will appeal the ruling as
instructed by his lawyers.
Punch reports that Ikpeazu was ordered to vacate his office
immediately due to submitting false documents about his governorship in the
People's Democratic Party in 2014.
