Abuja - The Imo State Government has appealed for calm following the deadly inter-ethnic clashes in Akokwa community in Ideato Local Government Area this past weekend.

Five people were confirmed dead from the clashes pitting the Hausa and the Igbo.

This was sparked by a man killing a girl, a woman and himself in unclear circumstances.

Reprisal attacks followed.
