Lagos - As the year draws to a close,we look at the impact of Boko Haram's suicide squad, made up of teenage girls, in the northeastern part of the country, were at least 1 584 lives were lost in bomb explosions.
The year 2015 record in general was an improvement on the 2014 calendar, as the The Global Terrorism Index says the Nigerian militant group killed 6 644 people in terror attacks during 2014, more than any other terror organization.
In the outgoing year, at the last count, a total 4780 had died in 2015, and Nigerians will hope that president Muhammadu Buhari will keep his promise of not just 'technically' defeating Boko Haram, but totally crushing this terrorist group.
The Boko Haram rebellion has killed at least 17 000 people and displaced 2.6million people in the country since 2009.
