IPOB raises fresh alarm over plans to kill its members

Owerri - The Indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB) had raised an alarm over the calculated plans by the federal government and the state governors in the south east to kill its members in the South -east.

The group in a statement on Tuesday said the federal government and defence headquarters have stationed military in every part of the South-east to eliminate the lives all the IPOB members and Biafra agitators

The group in the statement, which was signed by its spokesperson, Emma Powerful, said it was going to hold the South east governors responsible if any thing happen toits member in the region

The statement read in part: We are not in a military era and the governors should go back to their masters in Abuja tell them to recall and remove all the military equipment stationed in all the part of South east, whether they call it operation Python Dancing or what?

"We must hold them responsible for this atrocities committed in our land.

"We are calling on international community and other relevant human rights organizations in the world to take note because our lives are in danger.

The group also cautioned Major Al- Mustapha to stay away from the politics of the South-east.
