IPOB urges Trump to halt drones deployment to Nigeria

12 November 2016, 08:01

Lagos - The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has called on incoming United States President, Donald Trump, to reverse alleged plans by Nigeria to deploy unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) to the region.

It alleged that 500 UAV had been authorized by Trump's successor, Barack Obama, to commit genocide under the guise of helping the Muhammadu Buhari’s regime to stop pipeline vandalism.

IPOB claimed the deployment and bombings was supposed to have started about six months ago but was put on hold because of the possible negative impact on the chances of Hillary Clinton on the presidential election.

A new date of June 1 2017, IPOB further claimed, was later agreed as the commencement for the bombing of Biafraland because Obama was confident that Clinton would surely win the election.

“Fortunately for the Biafrans, Mrs Clinton lost the election, and Mr Donald J Trump won,” said IPOB spokesperson, Clifford Chukwuemeka Iroanya.

“As IPOB congratulate Mr. Trump on his well-deserved victory, we call upon him to cancel this scheduled mass-murder of Biafrans.”

He called on Trump to call Nigeria to order amid human rights violations.

IPOB is hopeful Trump would work assiduously towards the restoration of the nation of Biafra.
