Abuja - Former House of Representatives Chairman on Appropriation, Abdulmumin Jibrin on Monday shunned the House Ethics and Privileges Committee investigating claims of misconduct against the lawmaker, reports Premium Times.
Jibrin had accused the Speaker, Yakubu Dogara, and three others of padding the budget with billions of naira of fictitious projects.

The committees had on Friday summoned Jibrin to explain why he went against House rules by taking the budget padding issue to the media.
At the resumed sitting of the committee on Monday, Jubrin neither appeared in person nor sent a representative to defend the allegations against him.
Jibrin had initially promised to appear before the panel if the proceedings were opened to the public.
But on Sunday, he said he had changed his decision, accusing the committee of bias and lack of independence.
