Abuja - Ahead of the resumption of the members of the House of Reps on Tuesday, the former chairman of Committee on Appropriation, Abdulmumin Jibrin, has written the 360 members of the House, insisting that they must mount pressure on Speaker Yakubu Dogara and the three others he accused of corruption in the 2016 budget to resign.
Jibrin said in the letter that the resignation of the four principal officers indicted would pave way for a Speaker pro tempore saying “Speaker Dogara and the 3 others cannot be judge in their own case.
The 17 page letter, addressed to each member of the House and personally signed by Hon Jibrin, explained to his colleagues why he had to write them ahead of resumption and why he opted to engage the press as a last resort during the recess.

He went further to give his colleagues a comprehensive back ground of the crisis, details of the allegations and made recommendations on way forward.
Hon Jibrin insisted that Speaker Dogara and the 3 other Principal officers committed monumental fraud and abuse their offices and trust reposed in them by the Honourable House and Nigerians as a whole.
He cautioned his colleagues that anything short of asking the Speaker and others to resign, the House will become a laughing stock in the eyes of the public. He advised his colleagues to institute a comprehensive investigation in collaboration with the anti graft agencies who have commenced investigation on the matter and embark on a wide ranging internal reforms.
