Jonathan's ex-ADC files lawsuit against EFCC

25 February 2016, 11:01

Abuja - Former President Goodluck Jonathan's ex-Aide-de-Camp has filed a N100 million lawsuit against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) at the Federal Territory High Court in Gudu.

According to a Punch report, Colonel Ojogbane Adegbe filed the suit due to alleged unlawful detention by the anti-graft agency, saying that he had been detained since February 11 without being charged for an offence.

According to Adegbe, he was summoned by Army operatives while in the United Kingdom after he had finished serving his duties as Jonathan's Aide-de-camp.

Adegbe's brother Daniel has spoken out on the development, claiming that his brother was continually detained despite handing his statement to the EFCC on the day he was summoned.

Adegbe has since revealed that he would like to have his detention reversed and receive remuneration, as well as a written apology from the agency.
