Abuja - Governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomole, has blamed
former president Goodluck Jonathan's government of destroying the
Benin-Ekpoma-Auchi-Okene highway, Vanguard reported.
He states that the previous government failed to fix the
nightmare highway that has caused many accidents and unnecessary deaths.
Oshiomole was speaking the during the visit of Minister of
Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, stating the previous government
left the road in a far worse condition than they found it.

The state governor further states "I have difficulty
going home to my village because of what your predecessor did."
At one stage the Federal Road Safety Corps recorded 36 road
accidents in Edo State beginning of the year, to show that this has been a
problem for the state.
