Kano State - The Kano State government has said that it plans to restructure the markets within the state to facilitate improved business transactions, Vanguard reports.
Govenor Abdullahi Ganduje, disclosed this after the fire outbreak at the Sabongari market, and added that there would be new provisions made that would safeguard markets against fire hazards as well as encouraging improved business transactions.

He said that the restructuring would include the provision of roads, culverts and fire service points as well as collapsible structures for petty traders.
Ganduje added that all wooden structures would be replaced by the collapsible structures to ward against fires and also added that the government would implement new provisions to alleviate the suffering of the victims affected by the fires which would enable them to rebuild their lives.
