Kano mourns students killed in car crash

Abuja - The Kano State Government has consoled the families of the students and personnel that died in car crash along the Lagos - Ibadan Express way on Tuesday.

They were on a mission to represent Kano in the National Quiz Competition.

Three students of Unity School Karaye lost their lives while three from the Kano Capital School as well as a driver and coordinator of competition lost their lives in the accident.

Abdullahi Umar Ganduje his Deputy and commissioner of Education Prof Hafiz Abubakar condoles with the families of the students,” Usman Bello, Kano Director of Press, said.

He said arrangement is being made to airlift the corpses back to Kano for burial later in the day.

Bello added that the Families of the affected students had been duly informed on the unfortunate incidence and the arrangements being made.

He prayed for Allah to grant the souls of the deceased rest and those who sustained injuries speedy recovery.
