Abuja - The Kano State Government has
terminated the appointment of Alhaji Habu Fagge as Chairman of the State Board
of Internal Revenue.
Government spokesman, Baba Halilu Dantiye, confirmed the
Dantiye said the termination of Fagge's appointment was
in accordance with Section 10(f) of the State Revenue Administration Law.
“The Section provides that the Chairman or a member of
the Board ceases to hold office where the governor is satisfied that it is not
in the interest of the service or of the
public for the person to continue in office and the governor removes him,”

He added Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has also
approved the appointment of Sani Abdulkadir Dambo new chairman of the board.
Other appointments approved by the governor are
AbdulMumini Ladan Ajumawa as Director of Collection, Ahmed Madigawa (Planing,
Research and Statistics) and Abdulrazak Datti Salihi (Personal Income Tax).
Others are Muhammad Abba Aliyu (Road and other Taxes),
Adamu Kabo Idris (ICT), Abdulkadir
Abdulsalam Director (MDAs Non-Tax Revenue), Hussaini Abdulhameed Nurudeen (Tax Audit)
and Haruna Aliyu Yargaya, Director Assessment.
Dantiye said the governor expressed commitment
to overhaul and reform the Revenue Board to be able to face the present
challenges of dwindling economic situation and scarce revenue.
