Kano - Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano Stae has confirmed the arrest of 13 persons believed to be on the way to Libya to join the dreaded Islamic group, Islamic State for Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
Gov Ganduje disclosed this on Tuesday during a police-organised press conference at Bompai Police headquarters.

The governor said the suspects were not only a threat to their country of destination but, were also likely threats to neighbouring countries like Libya, including Nigeria.
He commended the police for a job well and tasked them to continue on the same note of effective policing of the state.
Muhmmad Musa Katsina, Kano State Commissioner of Police, said the arrested suspects were in possession of fake travelling passports to Libya.
