The new Emir, of the Abdu-Zanga Royal family, got five votes against Alhaji Usman Galadima, the Galadiman Keffi who scored two votes in an election participated by the seven kingmakers of the emirate, Al-Makura said.

He was born in 1966 and has served the Nasarawa State government and the Nigeria Universities Commission (NUC) in various capacities.

The state governor congratulated the new emir and enjoined him to bring in his wealth of experience in the development of Keffi, the state and the entire country.
