The commissioner pledged government commitment to the development of ICT in the state and enjoining the students to develop self-confidence in practicing the coding system both at home and in school.

“Despite the present economic challenges, having computer skills would not only increase their knowledge but will create more opportunities for them in this digital age,” Odubiyi said.

The training workshop “Hour of Code” is a global initiative designed for students to spend at least an hour of their learning time to programme in order to demystify coding system and show that anybody can learn the basics involved.
