Lagos woman beaten to pulp by husband

Lagos - A Lagos woman was beaten into a pulp by her husband of due to an argument that resulted between the two of them, Vanguard reported.

The 36-year-old, Izuchukwu Ugwzor, appeared at the Apapa Magistrates Court on charges of assault.

The accused is stated to have beaten his wife and she sustained injuries to her buttocks and laps.

Ugwzor has pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against him as he has contravened Section 171 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State.

Senior Magistrate who is handling the case has granted the accused bail in the sum of N100 000.

The case has been adjourned for August 31.

An Enugu policeman was also once beaten by mob and fell into a coma for allegedly shooting a motorcyclist
