Sokoto - The Family of late Sultan
Ibrahim Dasuki has commended the Sokoto State Government for ensuring a
befitting burial for their patriarch.
The family also commended Gov. Aminu Tambuwal for his
solidarity and guidance during the mourning period.
The Sardauna of Sokoto and former Minister of Finance,
Alhaji Abubakar Alhaji, said this when he led members of the family and other
leaders from the Buhari ruling House of the Sokoto Caliphate, to Government
House Sokoto, on Thursday.
Alhaji said Tambuwal had exhibited statesmanship during the
period which they would cherish forever.
He described the late Dasuki as a distinguished Nigerian who
was committed to the service and unity of the nation.

Responding, Tambuwal urged them to unite and continue with
the good works started by the late 18th Sultan of Sokoto.
“Sultan Dasuki cared about the unity of Nigeria and the
Muslim Ummah (Community).
“You have a huge task ahead of you, but with steadfastness
and unity of purpose, you will achieve your aims,’’ Tambuwal said.
He urged them to be united at all times, adding that the
state government would continue to cherish the deceased’s contributions to the
development of the state.
Others on the delegation are: Alhaji Abdulsamad Dasuki,
Alhaji Buhari Dasuki, Abba Dasuki and other leaders from the Buhari ruling
House of the Sokoto Caliphate to which late Dasuki belonged.
