Lawmaker laments fire incident at Ilorin market

Ilorin - The lawmaker representing Asa/Ilorin West Federal Constituency, Razak Atunwa, has expressed sadness over the fire accident which gutted the popular Oja Titun market in Baboko, Ilorin.

The legislator, who is also Chairman of House Committee on Justice, said he would contribute to lessen the impact of the incident on the victims.

He urged all stakeholders to cooperate with various authorities in providing the necessary support for the unfortunate victims.

Atunwa sought divine intervention to protect the constituency and Kwara State at large from experiencing such disasters.

He thanked the Ilorin West local government and the Fire Service for their vigorous effort and dedication to work.

Atunwa urged traders to be meticulous in handling electrical infrastructure in the market to avoid a recurrence.

The cause of the fire could not be ascertained.
