Abuja - Despite Nigeria experiencing one of its worst periods economically as it recently entered into a recession, lawmakers were still paid N6.7 billion in salaries in one year, Naij reports.
A recent report by the Economic Confidential revealed how senator and members of the House of Representatives received the huge amount in salaries and allowances.

The allowances include, annual salaries, accommodation, house maintenance among other perks while the report also detailed how much each individual lawmaker earns annually.
The report is likely to infuriate Nigerians as the average citizen earns N18 000 monthly compared to the millions made by senators and other Representatives.
