Leaders welcome harmony in Delta State

11 January 2016, 09:01Emeka Okonkwo

Abuja - Some leaders in the Delta State have heaped praise on the House of Assembly for complementing government efforts to develop the region.

The commendation by the political and community leaders followed a meeting held in Asaba this past weekend.

Director of Communication at the Delta Leaders Forum, Michael Tuoyo, praised the Speaker, Monday Igbuya, and fellow legislators for subjecting themselves to the principles of morality and justice in the discharge of their duties.

“The Delta State House of Assembly is quite on course. It is doing well and giving the necessary support and enabling environment to the government of Dr Ifeanyi Okowa,” said Tuoyo.

He also commended the relationship between the executive and legislature in the state, as well as the maturity of the legislators.

“The legislature and the executive are partners in progress. There is no uneasiness in the relationship. There is nothing like legislative arrogance, self-misperception and megalomania,” said Tuoyo.

The leaders singled Igbuya for praise.

Politics to Rt. Hon Igbuya is not an avenue to make money or wield any undeserving influence but a platform where lives can be changed drastically. Igbuya is an achiever. He remains unshaken in the noble objective to develop Delta State,” Tuoyo said.
