Abuja - A lion has escaped from the Jos Wild Life Park while it was being fed earlier this morning, Naij reports.
According to the Acting General Manager for the Plateau Tourism Corporation, John Doy, the lion had been caged since 1972 and took the chance to slip through the gates during a routine feeding.

Doy said the animal is still within the vicinity of the Park but fears have arisen that it may travel further out due to the Park not being fenced.
Several security agencies have been notified of the lion's escape and a manhunt has since ensued.
