Governor Yahaya Bello was on Wednesday sworn-in as the new governor of Kogi State.
He is the fourth executive governor of the state.
Bello was picked by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to replace its late candidate, Abubakar Audu, who died before the conclusion of the election.
The inauguration ceremony which took place at the Lokoja Township Stadium in the state capital was attended by APC leaders and supporters across the country.

Those that attended Wednesday’s inauguration included the National Chairman of the APC, John Odigie-Oyegun as well as the governors of Nasarawa and Benue States.
Senate President, Bukola Saraki was represented by Senator Kabir Gaya.
Bello’s deputy, James Faleke was, however, conspicuously absent at the ceremony.
The oath of allegiance was administered on Bello by the Chief Juge of the State, Justice Nasir Ajanah.
Bello later took a parade round the stadium and also took salute from security agencies present at the event.
Goodwill messages were delivered by governors of Benu and Nasarawa- Samuel Ortom and Tanko Al- Makura respectively.
