'Madman' faces arrest after being found with 22 bank cards

Abuja - The Rapid Response Squad (RSS) of the Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of a suspected madman after he was found in possession of 22 ATM cards, two mobile phones and a power bank in Victoria Island, Vanguard reports.

The man, identified as Lanrewaju Jaiyeola, was intercepted by officials while carrying a backpack in a suspicious manner.

According to police, 8 of the 22 cards found on Jaiyeola were still valid, with all the cards bearing different names from an assortment of banks.

Olatunji Disu, Commander for the RRS, revealed that the man exhibited statements suggesting that he was attempting to disguise himself as a mad man in order to orchestrate his crimes.
