Abuja - An attack by three suicide bombers in Maiduguri on Friday was allegedly intercepted by the military, Naij reports.
According to Brigadier General Lucky Irabor, deputy commander of Operation Lafiya Dole, the bombers' plan was foiled while they were still attempting to gain access into the town.

Brigadier Irabor also disclosed that one of the attackers, a female, upon seeing the soldiers, detonated her device, killing herself and another bomber in the process.
He assured the public that the military takes the issue of suicide bombing very seriously and that they are striving to end all terrorist activities within the country.
