Major reshuffle at emergency body

Abuja - The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has approved the redeployment and posting of Directors and Zonal Coordinators as part of efforts to enhance service delivery.

Sani Datti, Senior Information Officer of the agency confirmed the developments in Abuja.

According Datti the affected officers are Sambo Baffale, Acting Director of Training (now Director in-charge of  Relief and Rehabilitation), Umesi Emenike, Deputy Director of Planning Research and Forecasting (now in-charge of Training Department as Acting of Director), Kayode Fagbemi, Deputy Director of Disaster Risk Reduction (now in charge of Planning, Research and Forecasting Department.)

Datti added that Oghenah Benjamin, South South Zonal Coordinator, has been moved to Disaster Risk Reduction Department at the agency headquarters.

Akujiobi James, Deputy Director, Disaster Risk Reduction is now in-charge of Planning, Research and Forecasting Department and  Akande Isiaka Iyiola, Deputy Director Training is now in-charge of Disaster Risk Reduction Department.

Others include Onimode Bandele Abdullahi, South West Zonal Coordinator, who moves to Search and Rescue Department as Deputy Director.

Major James Eze, South East Zonal Coordinator moves to South-South Zone (Port Harcourt) as the Coordinator while Udeinya Martins Ejike, Assistant Director, Training moves to South East Zone (Enugu) as the Coordinator.

Suleiman Yakubu Abdullahi, Assistant Director of Administration, has been shifted to South West Zone (Lagos) as the Coordinator.

Datti said all affected officers are enjoined to ensure proper handing and taking over notes before proceeding to their respective new posts.
