Man kills brother over land, family kills him in return

07 March 2016, 08:39

Abuja - A Delta State man has met his demise at the hands of his own family members after they killed him in revenge for the killing of his brother over farmland, Vanguard has reported.

Opipi Ajomo is alleged to have killed his younger brother, Eravwokpo Ajomo, over the sharing of a plot of land in the Ughelli LGA that once belonged to their father.

The deaths followed soon after a falling out between the two men over the land, which Opipi was already farming on.

Opipi, angered by his brother's request to share the land, proceeded to grab a knife and stab Eravwokpo in the neck, leading him to bleed to death.

Despite attempts to flee the scene, Opipi was promptly apprehended by family members who then stabbed him to death in response.

The brothers were alleged to have been buried on the same day.

Police could not be contacted for comment on the incident.
