12 April 2016, 07:49

Abuja - A mass sacking looms for Government parastatals and agencies and President Muhammadu Buhari begins investigations into the budget padding controversy.

According to a Naij report, several top officials have been suspected of colluding with members of the National Assembly in order to produce a budget that would be difficult to implement.

In addition, allegations have arisen relating to a scheme implemented to frustrate Buhari in retaliation for his neutral approach in the current trial of Senate President Bukola Saraki at the Code of Conduct Tribunal.

Sources in the know have indicated that those on the chopping block may include Chairmen of the Committees on Appropriation in the Senate and the House of Reps, Senator Danjuma Goje and Abdulmumin Jibrin, respectively.

Both men are alleged to have already been removed from their committees this week over their poor handling of the budget and subsequent padding thereof.
