Metuh implicates Jonathan in arms fraud

Abuja - Fresh facts have emerged on why the embattled National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Olisa Metuh torn his confessional statement he made to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), reports Punch.

Metuh allegedly tore his statement on January 5, 2016 while being investigated for an alleged fraudulent receipt of N400m from the Office of the National Security Adviser and money laundering allegation involving a separate sum of $2m.

Metuh had in the statement said former President Goodluck Jonathan authorised the release of the money to him to settle some debts owed by the PDP.

He said he gave his company’s account, Destra Investments,  to the President and thereafter received the payment of N400m into the account, which he used for specific assignments given to him by the President.

He however, said he was not willing to disclose the details about the disbursement of the money.
