Militants threaten to bomb Lagos, Abuja

Abuja - Militant group Niger Delta Avengers has vowed to carry out bomb installations in Port Harcourt, Lagos, Calabar and Abuja, causing heightened security around the country.

According to Naij, troops stormed the home base of ex-militant leader Government Ekpemupolo (Tompolo) yesterday in search of militant who were alleged to have secretly converged in the area.

Reacting to the military invasion in the area, traditional ruler Aketekpe Agadaba expressed fears, while lending his mediation services to help quell tensions between the Federal Government and Tompolo.

Vanguard reports that leaders within the Niger Delta Avengers have expressed satisfaction in their ability to effortlessly cripple oil operations in Delta State and were willing to carry out operations if their demands were not met by President Muhammadu Buhari.
