Mob invades suspected ritual killer's lair in Lagos

30 December 2015, 07:33

Abuja - Residents from the Badagry LGA of Lagos State stormed an unfinished building on Tuesday after a woman raised the alarm about a suspected ritual killer in the area, Punch reports.

Following a carnival that had taken place in the area, a woman in her late 20s emerged from the building with a partially cut throat claiming that she had been lured into the den by an alfa.

Although the woman was rushed to hospital after losing consciousness, the matter was later reported to the Morogbo Police Division. After arriving of the scene, however, it was discovered that the alfa had fled.

When residents decided to invade the building themselves, they found women's clothes, charms and bloodstains.

A resident in the area, identified as Mummy Eso, revealed that the man did not stay in the area and was not suspected to have been using the structure for evil deeds.

It has since been gathered that the alfa had been having an affair with the woman before he lured her to the unfinished structure.

Police have yet to comment on the development.
