Mob sets two robbers alight in Benue

Benue - A mob has two robbers who were part of a five man gang, alight in Gboko, Benue, Vanguard reported.

According to reports, the armed men stormed a business woman's home in the late evening and attempted to rob her all her valuables after returning from her business.

The five man gang threatened to kill her children if she did not surrender all the money in her possession to them.

The woman raised the alarm and alerted neighbours who rushed to the scene immediately.

Members of the gang fled the scene but two of them were not so lucky. Neighbours and local members of the vigilante group beat the two men to death, of which their bodies were set alight and burnt beyond recognition.

The remains of the suspects were later removed by local police.
