MOSOP calls by calm amid Kporghor attacks

14 June 2016, 21:38

Abuja - The Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People (MOSOP) has expressed displeasure at the recent attacks and destruction of lives and property in Kporghor by rival communities.

“We are saddened that despite repeated notifications to the government to take adequate steps to protect the people of Kporghor and other communities which have come under attack from their neighbors, the government appear to have been insensitive to this issue and failing in its responsibility to protect the lives of its citizens,” said Fegalo Nsuke.

Publicity Secretary of MOSOP, said the people of Kporghor had been driven out of their homes.
