Abuja - A mother of two has died after being hit by a stray bullet allegedly released by a police gun, Daily Post reports.
The incident is alleged to have occurred during a gun battle between police and hoodlums in the Tudun-Wada LGA of Kaduna State on Wednesday.
The deceased, identified as Maryam Abubakar, is said to have been celebrating Sallah at her mother's house when police ran past the residence in pursuit of the hoodlums.

Maryam's husband, Malam Musa Bawa, revealed that his wife had been hit eight times ebfore being rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment
ASP Aliyu Usman, Police Spokesperson in the State, confirmed the incident while stating that investigations showed that the bullet did not come from a police rifle.
“The woman was hit in eight different places by pellets emanating from either den gun or double barrel. Remember, police don’t use gun powder,” Usman stated.
