NairaBet dissociates self from fraudulent posts

Lagos - Top betting site NairaBet has distanced itself from some fraudulent posts allegedly from hackers.

The company made the disclaimer in a statement sent to News24 Nigeria.

The statement reads "If you are an avid follower of NairaBet, it must have come to your notice by now that a lot weird posts have been coming from the top betting site’s Facebook page since the 1st of July.

"NairaBET is not responsible for these posts. The page was hacked and taken over by unknown individuals. We hereby dissociate every post from them and ask that you warn everyone you know not to reach us through Facebook.

"In the meantime, you can contact us via our Twitter page - @Nairabet or send an email to - support@nairabet.com.

Communication would go out as soon as the page is recovered and everything is back to normal."
