"The children of the Niger Delta region are missing by (sic) deliberate policies of every successive Nigeria Government.”

Agbinibo added childhood meant unlimited opportunities for children.

“This is what the Nigeria government has refused to give you the children of the Niger Delta. But what they have refused to give to you is what we (Niger Delta Avengers) are promising you."

Children's Day is celebrated on May 27 in Nigeria.

It is a public holiday for primary and secondary schoolchildren.
