Abuja - Niger State Governor, Alhaji Bello, expressed at the
Presidential Villa in Abuja after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari, that
he would not be able to pay salaries in the state, Punch reported.
This comes after Bello stated that the economy in his state
is looking gloomy and has become impossible to pay salaries.

According to Bello, the state has been borrowing money from
banks since January as his government is in a debt of N3 billion.
Naija247news states that Bello has cut down on government
expenditure by 70 percent, trying to make ends meet.
