Nigerians in Pakistan deplore bomb blast

Lagos – The Nigeria Community in Pakistan (NCP) has condemned the terror attacks extrimists carried out in Pakistan during the just-ended Easter holiday.

The suicide bomb blast at the Lahore Gulshan Iqbal Park killed at least 53 people and injured more than 30.

“Pakistan is a peace-loving country and NCP strongly condemns the terrorist attack in Lahore including killing of women and innocent children which is an appalling act of terrorism against humanity,” said Charles Emencheta, President of NCP, in a statement.

Meanwhile, former Nigerian High Commissioner to Pakistan, Dauda Danladi, denounced the terror attack in the Pakistan provincial capital city.

“ I consider Pakistan as my Second Home and the recent Lahore bomb blast tragedy has saddened my heart,” he wrote in a letter to the President of Pakistan, Mamnoon Hussain and the Prime Minister, Mian Nawaz Sharif.

The Nigerian officials pledged solidarity with the Pakistan government and people following the deadly attacks.
