Abuja - The Nigerian Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas
Workers has advised Federal Government on giving out bailouts to state
governments, Punch reported.
According to NUPENGS's Chairman, Tokunbo Korodo, gave the
advice in Lagos, stating that disbursement of funds was not necessary
especially with a prevailing economy.

State governments receive N713.7 billion in bailouts from
the Federal Government.
Korodo has advised state government to rather look inwards
to find new ways to generate revenue.
Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state has also complained
about the state government's receiving bailouts from FG.
